Our minister

Rev Kate Whyman discovered Unitarianism through a chance encounter while travelling in New Zealand in 1999. On her return to the UK, she sought out her local Unitarian Church in Brighton and immediately felt at home. She soon became a member, was then encouraged on to the committee, and eventually found herself being Chair. In 2012 she began ministry training at Harris Manchester College, Oxford and Heythrop College, London and moved to Plymouth to take up the post of Minister in October 2014. Kate is due to retire in December 2024.
